Pure Obsidian Scrying Mirrors - Back in stocvk after a massive sell-out, these scrying mirrors are pure dark obsidian with a massive 6" diameter and a thickness of over 1/4" with one side completely polished. Used for divination and favoured among those who prefer natural dark mirrors, these are back in stock now. Scrying: The act of looking into or trying to divine the future. Black backed mirrors, or windows in a light room looking out to a dark outside, have been used for centuries as a method of divination. Black scrying mirrors should not be exposed to sunlight at any time and can be reblessed at the time of the full or new moon using herbs, fluid condenser, or just the light of the moon. To scry, relax and clear your mind. Gaze into the surface of the black mirror and unfocus your gaze. Allow images to pop up without trying to grasp onto them. Gently and in time, then answer to your query will come. Among the ancient aztecs Obsidian was sacred to the Sky God Tezcatlipoca. The Aztecs also fashioned it into mirrors which the scryers used in divination. Obsidian was also used for eyes in idols in the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. SOSM - Small Obsidian Scrying Mirror - These are smaller than the large mirror, and are approximately oval in shape (the average size is 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" (12cm x 8cm)). While not as nice as the large mirror, their smaller size makes them a lot more affordable.
