Obsidian Scrying Balls - These almost completely black scrying balls are perfect for the individual who wishes to merge the black scrying mirror and crystal into one. These have been created from genuine obsidian and have a slight shimmer as they are from rainbow obsidian. Hand-picked from Brazil, these balls have a beautiful polished finish and are perfect for use as a divination or scrying tool. Among the ancient aztecs Obsidian was sacred to the Sky God Tezcatlipoca. The Aztecs also fashioned it into mirrors which the scryers used in divination. Obsidian was also used for eyes in idols in the Temple of Quetzalcoatl. Obsidian was also popular among certain North American Indians. These balls are approximately 2" (50mm) in diameter.

Obsidian Scrying Mirror - Scrying: The act of looking into or trying to divine the future. Black backed mirrors, or windows in a light room looking out to a dark outside, have been used for centuries as a method of divination. Black scrying mirrors should not be exposed to sunlight at any time and can be reblessed at the time of the full or new moon using herbs, fluid condenser, or just the light of the moon. To scry, relax and clear your mind. Gaze into the surface of the black mirror and unfocus your gaze. Allow images to pop up without trying to grasp onto them. Gently and in time, then answer to your query will come. At approx 3/4" thick and approc 4" in diameter, this is a stunningly sturdy mirror.
